Gemma 4 runs through the Gemini API. Keep the key on the server.

API setup

Set GEMINI_API_KEY in .env.local or the Render dashboard. Analyses call POST /api/analyze with your screenshot, description, and optional log.

Chrome extension

Load the unpacked extension from the extension/ folder in this repo. In Chrome open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and select that folder. Keep this app running at http://localhost:3000 (or set your Vercel URL in the extension options). The extension captures a screenshot, console errors, and failed network requests, then calls POST /api/analyze.

Privacy

Remove secrets, API keys, passwords, and private tokens before uploading screenshots or logs. TraceForge does not store screenshots on the server.
